Export Packaging

Packaging & Pre-Shipment Requirements

60 kg
Jute Bags

The most common export packaging method uses new, high-quality jute bags. Natural jute fibers allow the beans to breathe and maintain stable moisture content. Standard weight per bag is 60 kg.

~1.5 MT
Bulk Bags

For high-volume shipments, moisture-resistant bulk bags with a thick inner liner are available. Each bag holds approximately 1 m³, equivalent to around 1.5 MT of green coffee.

01
TCVN Standards

Vietnam complies with specific standards issued by the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality (TCVN) — including TCVN 1279:1993, which governs the packaging, labeling, storage and transport of green coffee.

02
Moisture Content

Green coffee for export is controlled to a specific moisture level, typically a maximum of approximately 12.5%, to prevent spoilage during shipping.

03
Bean Quality

Beans are visually inspected to confirm the agreed grade, with black beans, broken beans and foreign matter kept to a minimum.

Container Loading

Export Container Loading Process

Green coffee is hand-loaded bag by bag into FCL containers, counted and verified before sealing. HotaNuts confirms exact quantities and lot numbers per contract — with loading photos and container seal numbers issued before departure.
